End of Time

Posted in Poetry, Postings on April 11, 2011 by patthyme

There are things afoot.  We find ourselves at what has been referred to as the end of time.  Hello.

So, does this mean that we can find different ways of being?  Does this mean that there are opportunities?  Are our challenges greater?

Maybe the answer to all of the above is yes.  All the world religions, philosophies, and new self help books are all available.  Wisdom abounds.

Perhaps we can make something of these circumstances.  Maybe it is possible to sift through the dogma to find simple ways of being that work for ourselves.  What do we want?  Really?  For Earth, For Humanity?

Climbing vantages find me

Incapable of distraction

For my spirit has aligned

This.

Soaring is possible between.

Catch the wave, and dream;

a rhythm that hones me

to the bone.

Each day the potential for happiness is intoxicating.  I wish to wake to this excitement.  Nothing (God) flies through me as I learn to live my actual life.  Far beyond struggling against fate, I embrace every responsibility.

Parting the waters of confusion

Clarity cracks the air.

I invite, entice, face, explore, examine

that which I find myself in the midst of.

And power begins to flow

through the system

engaging

Step, step, step, step

Cadence

Something Inspiring

Posted in Postings on April 9, 2011 by patthyme

Everything is moving and shifting.  This life is the greatest of adventures.  Creation of the cosmos and depth beyond imagining surrounds us.  The mystery, fantasy of being, prevails.  Sure, I can get down and sad and morose.  But, only if allow myself to be lost.  Lost in what?  Not creation, but my own creation, my own mind.  This is no longer my cup of tea.  Alternatively, freedom to pursue my passion for not anything in particular but nothing inside me witnessing.

So, there is nothing stirring.  It energizes me.  This is inspired by my ability to appreciate experiencing.  However, here the words fail to express the sultry.  There is power in the rough motion and friction that awakens me thoroughly.

May this day surpass my ability to appreciate the experiment.  May this day I seize the opportunity to be tantalized, pushed around, and end standing.  May this day I speak from a heart that knows love and evils inherent power as one truth that burns through the illusions to the deeply pulsing fun.

Story Constructs

Posted in Postings on April 6, 2011 by patthyme

What is a story made of?  I make no claim to answer this question as an expert.  I am only exploring the ideas myself.

Plot

This is the underlying theme of major events.  This is also referred to as the story line.  Plot is made of challenges and opportunities and the progress or lack thereof of characters and/or environment.

Environment

This is where the story takes place.  This can be broken into scenes and places.  This also defines what is possible.  For example, in a magic land, magic is possible.  In a car, driving may occur.

Characters

The people (or personified animals and things) can be broken down into their skills, potential, conditioning, programming and evolution thereof.

Things

Things can play a significant role in a story.  They may represent much more than they would out of context (the story).  Examples might include a space ship with a name or a picture someone looks at to recollect their strength, etc.

Special Knowledge

Sometimes characters may have access to knowledge allowing them a different level of leverage in their environment.  For example, a mechanic might be able to fix an engine, a wizard might be able to change something, or someone from the future might reflect on the plot.

May this blog entry shed some light of the creative act of writing.
